For Your Information and Action

• Consider being the hands and feet of Jesus by helping with the wedding reception here on August 16th with some work being done on Friday, August 15th. Food prep, set up and serving are required. Sign up today at the information counter.
   

• People who have been asked to participate in the Natural Church Development survey can do it either after Sunday morning worship on August 10 or August 24th. It will take place in the chapel.
   

• Our Christian Home Ministries has two opportunities…
  
  • There is an opening for a live-in resident manager for their group home for four adults with developmental disabilities. This is the perfect opportunity for a loving Christian couple to grow in the Lord while caring for our residents. This salaried position includes a private three bedroom apartment and all utilities. Benefits would include two weekends and two evenings per month off and vacation days available upon hire.
  
  • OCM is in need of relief staff. Relief staff provides weekend or evening coverage for our residents. Schedules are set three months in advance and you pick the shifts you want to cover.

• Little Shepherd Inn Needs…
  Some furniture, equipment and materials have been ordered. But we though you might have some of the following items in a spare room or attic that you might like to share with us. If you have any of the following, drop them off or call the church office (668-6261) and we will pick up.

Upcoming Dates to Remember

• Prayer for our Kids – Tuesday, August 12th at 6:30pm.
   

• Park Service and Lunch – Sunday, August 17th. Come worship with us in the park at 10:00am. Bring your neighbors and friends. Don’t forget the lawn chairs. The service will be followed by a potluck dinner in Rosemary Hall. Pig-in-the Blankets, hot dogs, beverages, plates, cups and utensils will be provided. We will need salads and deserts from the shepherding groups. Please call your shepherd by August 4th - tomorrow and let them know if you are planning on attending or if you cannot attend. They will tell you what you should bring. If you don’t call them, they will call you. Also, we are in need of some helpers to serve the desserts and some to help pick up the tables after the dinner. There is a sign up sheet at the information counter. Special Note: John & Diane Navis’ shepherding group-please call Jackie Ten Pas (668-6356).
   

• 4th Annual Gospel Music Fest – August 15th - 16th in Hilbert. Check west entry bulletin board for details.
   

• End of Summer Sr. High Cookout – Sunday, August 24th at 6:00pm at Tom & Jody Kaat’s home.
   

• Dessert Meeting for Parents of 6th-12th Graders – Tuesday, August 26th at 6:30pm in the youth room. Come out for some yummy desserts and to hear about our plans for this upcoming year of ministry.
