For Your Information and Action Each one of us makes a vow at each baptism to assist in that child’s Christian training. Here is where you can fulfill your vow. We are still in great need of people to do the work for our fall programs. This would involve facilitators on Wednesday nights in 2nd and 3rd grades or helpers in the classrooms. Wednesday evenings also have needs for cooks, substitute servers, nursery and drama presenters. Our Sunday School program is also in need of Pre-school teachers and helpers as well as someone to pick up collections. We also need someone to coordinate our nursery schedule on Sundays. Little Shepherds Inn is seeking a person that loves to cook and loves children. We are in need of someone who will prepare menus, do the grocery shopping and cook the noon meal. The Congregational Life Ministry is still looking for a co-chair person to help oversee the existing ministry units and to be active in continuing to move forward in the care and fellowship of our church. They are also looking for someone to be a Fellowship Ministry Unit leader to oversee fellowship times for both services. Please prayerfully consider being a part of this ministry. Upcoming Dates to Remember - Praise Celebration - at the Sheboygan County Fair on Labor Day weekend. Groups that involve some of our people are: “Rejoice Men’s Quartet” at 2:00pm on Saturday with Bob & Jeff DeSmidt; “Pine Haven’s Men’s Chorus” at 5:00pm on Saturday; and our own “Alternative” group will be singing Sunday at 2:00pm.
- Pine Haven Fall Festival - Coming soon. Our church is responsible for providing five pies and one cake (made in disposable pans). The Auxiliary is trying something new this year … selling homemade canned items like jams, jellies, pickles, vegetables, etc. (label with ingredients), and are also doing the usual fresh garden items. All items should be placed in the kitchen by 10:00 am on Saturday, September 11. Please sign up at the information counter.
- The 15th Annual Bethel Builders Golf Outing - (Bethel Reformed Church, Brandon, WI) is September 11 at Rock River Country Club in Waupun, WI. Registration deadline is September 6 and can be phoned in to 920-346-5810.
- Sunday School - classes will resume on September 12 from 10:20am-11:10. Kathy Teunissen’s 7th grade class will not start until September 19th.
- “Roots” and J-Teams - small groups begin next Sunday September 12th. If you haven’t seen Jeremy yet about being in them please do so immediately.
- Worship Committee Meeting - rescheduled to Tuesday September 14 at 6:30pm.
- First Family Night - will resume on Wednesday, September 15 beginning with the meal at 5:45pm followed by classes for all ages, ending at 7:30pm. Check your First’s Edition for further details.

- Pine Haven’s Annual Meeting and 60th Anniversary Celebration - will be Monday September 20 at 6:00pm at Breaking Bread Banquet Facility. Complimentary tickets will be needed to attend and can be obtained by calling Jean Loepfe at Pine Haven at 467-2401 ext. 153. There will be a donation box to help cover the cost of the dinner.
- Memory Walk - Are you or someone you know affected by Alzheimer’s disease? The Alzheimer’s Association of SE Wisconsin will hold its Fifth Annual Memory Walk Saturday, September 25th. Go to www.alz.org/sewi for more information or to register your team online for the 2 ½ mile walk.
- Eternity Gospel Quartet - will be at First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls on Saturday, September 25 at 7:00pm. You may remember them as the group who sang here on Friday night of Holland Festival. More info can be found on the west entry bulletin board.
- Camp Daniel - On October 16th the church bus will leave our parking lot at 5:30am with a breakfast stop in Green Bay. Upon arriving at the camp there will be a variety of tasks to do, both indoor and outdoor, for young and the not so young and anyone in between. More information can be found in the most recent First’s Edition. Please consider this opportunity as a family mission project and sign up at the information counter.
- Gaither Homecoming Tour 2010 - Tickets have been ordered and Personalized coach confirmed. Please make payment of $55/ticket to First Reformed Church and drop off in Bev’s office. We will leave from the church parking lot at 2:30pm on Saturday, October 30, stopping to eat at the Golden Corral before going to the concert. Tickets will be handed out when loading the bus.
